The Best Dyslexia Training Out There?
A Milestone Moment: My First On-Demand Course Is Finally Here!
I have some exciting news to share. After years of training educators, coaching leaders around the world, writing about best practices, and spamming you with this magnificent newsletter, I have officially published my first on-demand course with AEP Connections, and it’s the most fun and practical on-demand training on dyslexia strategies you’ll ever take (*probably). It’s called:
The Dyslexia Playbook: Evidence-Based Tools for Reading, Writing, and Assessment
OK, I know that sounds very academic and dare I say… boring. But I guarantee you it’s not. This is not your average sit-and-stare-at-PowerPoint training. I designed it to be fast-moving, interactive, and fun. Think of it as a playbook that actually feels like a play, with dialogue, reflection, examples, and plenty of practical strategies you can use immediately (or you can start using them tomorrow if you just want to take the day off and enjoy the course). I delivered a similar program in Sloan Square (posh London) and the positive feedback included, "Not the mindless drivel I usually get from professional development programs." I took that as a compliment in a very British sense.
What makes this course different?
It is engaging: I used best-practice presentation techniques with high-contrast so the energy keeps moving and you do not zone out.
It is practical: You will leave with free or low-cost strategies that can be implemented today (or tomorrow).
It is for everyone: Whether you are an educator, parent, school leader, counselor, or support staff, if you care about supporting students with dyslexia, this course was designed for you.
It’s me, the author of “Because You Farted” (the highly rated kids book) and “Universal Best Practices For All Learners”.
What you will learn
How to translate complex dyslexia research into classroom-friendly strategies
Universal supports (“Tier 1” or whole class) that strengthen skills across communication, cognition, social-emotional, and executive functioning
Targeted interventions to boost decoding, fluency, and writing
How to measure what really matters through curriculum-based assessment (CBM)
Address the Elephant In The Classroom
And yes, it is accredited for CEUs (ASHA, NBCC, NASP, ASWB, AOTA). You are not only getting strategies, you are also earning professional credit.
Why this matters to me
For more than 15 years, I have taught, trained, and coached thousands of educators across the U.S., U.K., and Africa. I have always wanted to create something that could live online and on-demand so people could access it anytime, anywhere. Now it is finally here.
This course is the beginning of something bigger: making high-quality, evidence-based training more accessible to anyone supporting neurodiverse learners.

Thanks for celebrating this moment with me (and checking out the course). It feels like the start of a new chapter.
